Freddy Boom is Citigroup Country Officer and Head of Banking for the Netherlands since 2006.

Between 2003 and 2006 Freddy was based as a Senior Banker in New York with a global responsibility for US Media & Telecommunications clients. From 1998 until 2003 he was a Senior Banker at Citigroup Amsterdam covering Dutch Media & Telecommunications clients.

In 1995, Freddy joined MeesPierson, the investment bank of ABNAMRO, where he worked in Media & Telecoms Project Finance in Amsterdam and London.

Freddy is Chairman of the Foreign Bankers' Association the Netherlands. As a member of the American Chamber of Commerce he is chairing the AmCham Young Professionals Committee.

Freddy holds a Masters Degree in Business from the University of Groningen and successfully completed the post graduate Executive Development Program at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Freddy is married to Victoria, has one son, and lives in Amsterdam.
