Biography Willem van Wettum

Willem van Wettum is practicing tax in the area of international taxation, in particular corporate taxation, and has over 25 years experience in advising international companies on (cross border) tax planning, acquisitions/restructurings and mergers, international finance transactions, application of tax treaties and tax rulings.
Willem is a frequent speaker at seminars on international tax planning for software companies, other companies in the high-tech industry and fashion groups.
Willem is an active member of the Dutch Bar Association (“De Nederlandse Orde van Advocaten”), the Dutch Tax Advisers Bar Association (“De Nederlandse Orde van Belastingadviseurs”), The Dutch Tax Scholar Association (“Vereniging voor Belastingwetenschap”). Furthermore, Willem is a member of the Tax Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands.
Willem obtained two academic degrees, one in (Tax) Law and one in Business Administration. He studied Economy at Groningen University and Tax Law at the Universities of Leiden, Amsterdam and Nijmegen. Mr. Van Wettum is admitted to the Bar in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Willem is married and has three daughters.
