Description: Taxpat will hold their session on wage and individual income tax issues in a Netherlands / U.S. cross-border employment environment.

The session will deal with everyday issues, such as wage tax filing obligations for corporations and personal income tax filing obligations for expatriates. Description: All you need to know about US GAAP for pension plans

In this workshop LCP will introduce you to the methodology of international accounting for Dutch employee benefit and pension plans under US GAAP.

• Understanding the ideas behind US GAAP
• How to read a valuation report
• Difference between international accounting and (local) cash accounting
• Understanding actuarial gains and losses
• Impact of the assumptions used:
- discount rate
- expected rate of return on plan assets
- inflation
- general salary increases and merit increases
- cost of living adjustments

After this workshop you will be better equipped with the annual valuation process and the discussions with the actuary, the auditor and head office about assumptions, results and expectations for next year. It also gives you more understanding of the possible impact on the figures of changes in pension plans.
