Expatcenter Amsterdam Partnership with Tax Authorities regarding 30% ruling
Starting last April 5th, a cooperative arrangement between the Expatcenter in Amsterdam and the tax authorities has been initiated to process the 30% ruling. Applications for the 30% ruling can now be made as part of the Expatcenter procedure. An employee of the Tax Department will be present at the Expatcenter every Wednesday to process and decide upon applications for the 30% ruling and answer questions regarding this ruling.
The co-operation with the Tax Department was made possible after a successful pilot year with some 15 international companies in the Amsterdam area. As of April 5th 2011, this additional service is open to all companies based in one of the participating municipalities and eligible for the IND’s highly skilled migrant ruling. Companies that want to make use of this new service will need to use a special request form. To apply for the 30% ruling the request forms must be completed by both the employer and the expatriate employee. The completed forms along with required documents must be sent to the Expatcenter (indicating application 30% ruling on the envelop).
