![]() |
Within the framework of its preparation of the Central Economic Plan 2010 (CEP) the Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis (CPB) recently published its provisional economy figures. Deviation with regard to previous estimates for 2010 (last December 15) are slight. |
For 2010 GDP growth of 1½ is estimated and an unemployment of 6½ % of the working population. The budget deficit (EMU-saldo) for 2010 is now estimated at 6.1% GDP, which is 0.3% more than in December. This is the first time that a provisional estimate for 2011 is presented by the Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis. For that year the CPB provides an increase now of the GDP with 2%. The estimated average unemployment in 2011, is equal to that for 2010: 6½%. The budget deficit for 2011 is estimated at 4.7% GDP. The CPB emphasizes that the figures are provisional.
In the coming weeks the CPB will continue to process and evaluate information and data that may change some of its estimates - in particular with respect to government finances. In the coming weeks it will be working on writing the Central Economic Plan 2010. This will be presented on Tuesday March 16.
