Foreign investment in the Netherlands buoyant despite crisis

 

Emerging market countries like India and China investing more in Netherlands, USA remains top foreign investor in NL.

 

Despite the economic crisis a large number of foreign companies have invested in the Netherlands in 2009. The number of investment projects during 2009 was virtually the same as in the record year 2008.  Of note is the interest in the Netherlands from developing countries like India and China. These two countries were responsible for one quarter of the new investment projects.
