How neighboring AmChams see their host economies

Since the first edition of its Investors’ Agenda of Priority Points in December 1995, AmCham Netherlands has taken a proactive position on advising the Dutch government on how to improve the investment climate in the country to attract more foreign businesses.

Among AmChams in Europe, AmCham Netherlands, at that time, took a leading role in formally formulating such advice. The positive and constructive response we received from the Netherlands government was reason for several other AmChams in other EU countries to adopt a similar approach – each AmCham adapting its communication strategy to fit their local conditions.

Recently our colleagues in AmCham Denmark and AmCham Belgium have published recommendations to policy makers in resp. Denmark and Belgium to improve the investment climate in those countries. AmCham Denmark based their recommendations on a survey conducted among its members. Read their report AmCham Denmark 2010 Business Barometer here
