AmCham’s Tax Committee expresses its concerns about recent proposals by the European Commission

November 2, 2016 – In a letter sent today to State Secretary for Finance, Eric Wiebes, AmCham’s Tax Committee expresses its serious concerns about recent proposals by the European Commission. The Tax Committee has taken note of the proposals and warns State Secretary Wiebes for the negative effects they will have on the Dutch investment climate.

“The European Commission fails to appreciate that foreign investment plays an important role in the economies of smaller member states, and that these investment flows will be shifted by the harmonization of tax laws”, say Wouter Paardekooper, AmCham President, and Arjan van der Linde, Chairman of the AmCham Tax Committee.

A copy of the letter (in Dutch) is available here.
