Timothy M. Broas stepping down as U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands

Published: January 18, 2016

Ambassador Broas has informed us that he will step down as U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands per February 2016. The Ambassador would like to spend more time with his family in America – a decision we understand and very much respect.

The President and Board of Directors are sad to see Ambassador Broas leave as he was a strong supporter of AmCham and transatlantic trade and investment. When Ambassador Broas arrived he immediately had a keen interest in promoting business on both sides of the pond. He was approachable, hospitable and always fully committed to the AmCham community.

AmCham is deeply grateful for Ambassador Broas’s service to the United States of America and the Netherlands and for his successful efforts fostering and building on the long-lasting relationship between our nations. We wish him and his family a prosperous future in the United States.

Please find Ambassador Broas’s statement here.
