Biography Frans van der Minne

Frans van der Minne (1948) is Group Human Resources Director
and member of the Executive Committee of Heineken International.

He began his career with Heineken in 1975 as a sales manager in the Dutch province of Brabant. Since then he has held a succession of positions including the Heineken Export organization in Singapore and Australia as well as the Caribbean, Eastern Europe and Canada. In 1988, he became General Manager of the Murphy Brewery Ireland.

In 1989 he became Director of the Heineken Export organization and in 1999 Cluster Director of Europe in charge of the company’s operations in all of Eastern Europe, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Belgium. He was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Heineken USA in 2000. He started in his current position in January 2006.

He is a non-executive director of Hotel de L’Europe. He is a board member of the Ireland Netherlands Business Association (INBA) and a non-executive board member (Supervisory Board) with Woningstichting Eigen Haard.

Frans van der Minne was educated in Holland and holds a degree in Marketing.

Frans is married and has three children.
