Biography Jan Oosterveld

Jan Oosterveld (1944) retired in 2004 as a member of the group management committee of Royal Philips Electronics. He is now a professor of the IESE business school in Barcelona and acts as board member in listed companies in the UK, France, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. He also has his own consultancy and investment companies in the Netherlands and Spain.
Jan is on the board of the AmCham since May 2005.

He graduated in mechanical engineering at the University of Technology Eindhoven and holds an MBA degree from the IESE. In 2007 he became doctor honoris causa at the State University of Management in Moscow.

Jan is married to Maria del Consuelo and has three children and two grandchildren.
