Biography Hans F. Horn

Hans Horn (1959) is Partner at Egon Zehnder International and the European Head of the Financial Services Practice of this leading Executive Search Firm. Furthermore, he is the Global Head of Client Development in the Practice Group.

Hans started his career at Exxon in South-Africa. In 1985 he joined Citibank in Zurich, Switzerland, in Financial Markets and later moved to Corporate Finance. In 1991 he was sent to New York, where he worked again in Corporate Finance as head of the Pharmaceuticals and later Branded Consumer Goods Industries in the United Stated. For two years he worked as Chief-of-Staff for the Vice Chairman of Citibank/Citicorp and subsequently led the transaction banking business in North-America. After 8 years in the United States he returned to the Netherlands.

Hans Horn joined Egon Zehnder International’s Amsterdam office in 1999. He is specialized in all banking (corporate and investment banking, private and retail banking), asset management insurance, pension funds as well as private equity and works on a global basis.

Hans is also involved with the Chamber as Head of the Membership Committee.

After obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Statistic from Basel University, he graduated with an MA in Economics at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. He also graduated from the Senior Executive Program of Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, in Palo Alto CA.

Hans is married and has two sons.
