Biography Amandus H. Lundqvist

Amandus Lundqvist (1945) is President of the Eindhoven University of Technology since 2002.

After his military service (Lieutenant of Royal Engineers) he joined IBM in 1968. After several professional and management positions, he joined the Board of IBM Netherlands in 1989. He was General Manager and CEO of IBM Netherlands between 1991 and 2001.

Amandus' expertise lies in the fields of Information Technology, Education and Research, Marketing and Sales.

Amandus holds the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Generali Verzekeringsgroep N.V. (insurance), Van Hoogevest Groep B.V. (construction), St. Anna Zorggroep (hospital), SURFnet B.V. (high speed research network) and SURFdiensten B.V. (SW and services procurement for education).
He is a Member of the Supervisory Board of Kas Bank N.V. and Member of the Advisory Council for Science and Technology (government council).

He is a qualified civil engineer and received management and executive education at IBM, IMD and Aspen Institute.

Amandus is married and has two children.
