Biography Thomas Woldbye

Thomas Woldbye (1964) is CEO & Group Managing Director of Norfolkline B.V., which is a subsidiary of the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group in Copenhagen, Denmark.

After joining the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group in 1983, Thomas has held several positions and had several postings, primarily in Asia. He has worked for APMM in China, Singapore, Indonesia and HongKong.
He returned to Europe in 1998 where he became responsible for Merger Management in Maersk Sealand. In 1999 he moved to The Netherlands and worked as General Manager and later Vice President for Maersk Sealand in Northern Europe, until he took up his current position at Norfolkline.

Thomas has expertise in the logistics, shipping and container industry.

He is a Board Member at Norfolkline Holding & various subsidiairies (as of December 2003), Maersk B.V. (as of June 2006), Maersk Holding B.V. (as of August 2006), Maersk Oil B.V. (11.11.2003), Maersk Oil Kuwait B.V. (11.11.2003), Maersk Oil Oman B.V. (11.11.2003), Maersk Oil Turkmenistan B.V. (as of 11.11.2003), Maersk Oil Surinam B.V. (02.11.2004), Danish Dutch Business Club (as of 01.09.2004).

Thomas holds a Bachelor’s degree from Copenhagen Business School, and followed management training at London Business School as well as IMD, Switzerland.

Thomas is married and has three children.
