Diversity Committee

The focus of the Diversity Committee currently is on gender diversity.

Female representation is a business matter that will hit us sooner rather than later. One of the reasons for this is that our demographic distribution is changing rapidly.  In the not-so-far future, there will be more ‘people with grey hair and less youngsters’. In order to supply enough labor for our changing world, we must increase the participation of females at all levels of the workforce.  We need to find creative ways to influence government officials, business leaders and female recruits, and want to include as many companies as possible in this debate!

MISSION STATEMENT:

AmCham’s Diversity Committee seeks to contribute to the attractiveness and competitiveness of The Netherlands by supporting and launching initiatives in AmCham member companies to create well balanced and high performing organizations through increasing female participation in the workforce both in general as well as in executive levels.

Therefore in 2012/2013 we will do the following:

  1. Increase female representation at AmCham by AmCham member organizations;
  2. Add ‘just one more’ female executive to each AmCham Patron Member company and each AmCham Committee;
  3. Increase awareness of gender diversity best practices within AmCham member companies;
  4. Address.
