Young Professionals

Welcome!

AmCham Young Professionals is a group of pro-active, high potential and highly motivated individuals with a minimum of approximately five years of working experience, in an age-range of about 25-35 years, in their (international) careers at member companies of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands and similarly aligned organizations. Together, the AmCham and the Young Professionals group strive towards the reinforcement of a common cultural and economic heritage between the United States and the Netherlands.

Statement of intent:

  1. Create a dynamic social network for young professionals involved in transatlantic relations.
  2. Provide a forum for discussion on topical issues in hard and social sciences, culture and humanities.
  3. Lay stepping stones for active involvement in concrete projects that are inspired by our discussions.

We will be hosting a series of social events throughout this year, providing a fun and casual forum for young professionals in the Netherlands to come together and discuss issues unique to them.

Wednesday April 7, 2010 - 18:00hrs - Amsterdam
An evening of collaboration with Lex Geerdes (Aon) and dance4life.

Monday May 17, 2010 - 18:00hrs - Amsterdam
AmCham Young Professionals Sustainability Event in cooperation with McKinsey & Company and NUON Solar Team.

Friday June 25, 2010 - 18:30hrs - Amsterdam
Our 3rd annual summer BBQ held in conjunction with NAF and the Fulbright foundation. This year the restyled and upgraded edition in the Garden of the Pulitzer hotel.

In the fall another extraordinary learning and coaching event.
Wine & Cheese Party, a longstanding AmCham tradition held at the end of the year
The events for the fall and winter of 2010 are still in the works, and we of course welcome your ideas to combine great events and venues to bring our group together!

The annual contribution for AmCham Young Professionals is 45€ which gives acces to all YP events free of charge.
