Terms and Conditions
Terms and conditions pertaining to events of AmCham Netherlands
By registering for an event of AmCham Netherlands you state that you have duly acknowledged the AmCham Netherlands terms and conditions pertaining to events and that you agree to these terms and conditions.
Registrations can be made through our website at www.amcham.nl or by email, facsimile or regular mail service. Registering by any of these methods informs AmCham Netherlands of your wish to attend the event in question. Your place is not confirmed at this stage. For the majority of the events ‘first come, first served’ applies and in rare cases Patron and/or Sustaining members will enjoy priority on registration. This all will be clearly stated in the invitation if applicable.
If you wish to register more than one person for an event you can so at the same time by making “guest” registration(s). The “guest” may be either another employee of your company or any other person you would like to attend the event with you. Please note that “guests” will be charged to the member who registered them and will be featured on the member’s invoice. The member is responsible for his guest(s) and his guest’s conduct at all times.
AmCham Netherlands will confirm all registrations in writing – normal registration through regular mail service and reservations made at the last minute via email. We endeavor to confirm your registration at least 10 working days prior to the event date. Together with the confirmation letter we will enclose the invoice specifying the event and eventual guests you might have registered. No V.A.T. is applicable on AmCham events.
All event participation fees are payable before the event takes place. Members are requested to do their utmost to execute payment before the event date.
Our general cancellation policy is clearly indicated on all confirmation letters we send out. Cancellation without any charge is possible 3 working days prior to the event date. Any cancellations received within this time frame will be charged in full! Should you need to cancel your participation at the last minute you are requested to inform the Chamber immediately. If a cancellation deadline differs from our general cancellation policy, it will be clearly stated in both the invitation and the confirmation letter of the event in question.
If you require a special meal AmCham Netherlands will try to ensure this is made available subject to reasonable prior notice and this will not incur additional costs. If your diet requires you to order such a unique specialized meal which will incur extra costs you will be informed by AmCham Netherlands well in advance.
Changes or amendments of events
AmCham Netherlands reserves the right to amend or cancel any event or event times and dates. This includes changes to speakers, content and program. In the unlikely occurrence of an event cancellation, AmCham Netherlands will return any payments received in advance. AmCham Netherlands will not, however, refund any costs incurred as a result of this cancellation.
Revision of terms and conditions
AmCham Netherlands may, without notice, and at any time revise these terms and conditions by posting changes online. It is the responsibility of users to review all this information at the time of registration. These changes will be effective and binding as soon as they appear on AmCham’s website www.amcham.nl . These terms and conditions will be binding in the event of any discrepancy between the information printed in these terms and conditions and information printed elsewhere.
