Innovation Report Presented to CFO Port of Rotterdam

Published:

June 28, 2017 – Last week, students of the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) presented their report ‘Rotterdam Area as a Center of Innovation’ to Port of Rotterdam’s CFO Paul Smits at the World Port Center in Rotterdam. The report was commissioned by the Rotterdam Chapter of the American Chamber of Commerce.

The Rotterdam Area has been strengthening its position as an innovation ecosystem. Boosting this ecosystem will make Rotterdam more attractive to work and live in. But it will also create room for startups and attract more foreign investments to Rotterdam.

Even though the Rotterdam area has positioned itself as an innovation hub, there is still room for improvement. Therefore the key question of the research is: How do and can stakeholders in the Rotterdam area contribute to and benefit from the Rotterdam area as a center of innovation.

In order to draw a complete analysis and come to good conclusions and recommendations the students visited many companies including RanMarine, Port Authority, CIC, the Port of Rotterdam and DuPont de Nemours. You can download and read the entire report here.
