On November 27, the AmCham Young Professionals Award 2015 was awarded to Team Preventics of Diversey: Lonneke Toonen, Reynier Theeuwes, Jeske D'Hollosy and Martin Stegehuis. The AmCham Young Professionals Award 2015 was a team challenge on megatrends in which 18 teams (66 individuals) participated.
In its case Team Preventics presented a DNA-based prevention model that could revolutionize the health sector. The jury has awarded the first prize to Team Preventics because this team picked a crucial issue and came up with a game-changing solution that was very focused, took an original angle on the problem, presented a clear business case with clear benefits for all stakeholders and had an original interactive twist to the presentation which showed that the audience as well embraced the idea. All members of the winning team received a return ticket to the USA offered by United Airlines.
The second prize has been awarded to Team Water Frontiers of Heineken: Steven van Heuveln, Linda Moerland and Gertjan van Otterloo. Team Water Frontiers addressed water scarcity - a major and urgent global issue - and made it highly focused, highly concrete and brought it to life in an original way.
The third prize has been awarded to Team Virtual Retaility of Nike: Joris Moons, Joel Smith, Kim Struiken and Bradley Welter. Team Virtual Retaility presented an excellent case on the digital transformation of the retail landscape. Team Virtual Retaility had the best of multimedia, storytelling, and role playing and made everybody want to go out and try it.
The jury was very impressed by the high level of all contributions - also those of the other finalists: Team FutureWorks of Dow Benelux, Team Smarter Planet of IBM and Team Urban Data of Dow Benelux, and of all participacting teams in general.
