AmCham Joins Dutch and Flemish Economic Mission to the US on Semiconductors

Published: December 7, 2023

From December 4-6, AmCham Executive Director Marc ter Haar participated in the Dutch and Flemish economic mission on semiconductors in Phoenix, Arizona and San Francisco, California. This mission was led by Prime Minister Mark Rutte, accompanied by Minister Mickey Adriaansens, and a delegation of Dutch companies and knowledge institutes specializing in the semiconductor industry

Throughout this economic mission, it was reaffirmed that technological advancements are developing at an increasingly high speed, especially AI. Additionally, both the U.S. and the Netherlands are actively working on attracting talent and promoting STEM education, for which this transatlantic relationship is key.

Specifically on semiconductors, the Dutch semiconductor industry is well-positioned and is playing an important role in technological developments. AmCham aims to maintain this through its newly established Digital Committee, serving as a forum for industry leaders in the digital and technological sectors to convene and uphold Dutch positioning on this matter.
