AmCham Presents to Members of the Committee on Economic Affairs

Published:

On June 23, AmCham presented its 2026 Priority Points and Investment Climate Study to Members of the Committee on Economic Affairs of the Tweede Kamer der Staten-Generaal. During the session, AmCham focused on the importance of preserving the transatlantic dialogue and open trade, strengthening competitiveness and creating a level playing field within the EU, and investing in the future resilience of the Netherlands.

U.S. companies are the largest foreign investors in the Dutch economy, and act as an engine for economic growth, innovation, and job creation. As the voice of business’ with major interests in both the Netherlands and the U.S., AmCham sees firsthand how investment decisions are made in an increasingly competitive global economy. While the Netherlands has strong fundamentals, it needs predictability, speed, and effective execution to meet the needs of foreign investors. This is why AmCham shared the need for focused choices on the investment conditions that matter most, clear “open for business” signals for strategic sectors, and impactful Dutch influence in Europe.

We thank the Members of the Committee on Economic Affairs for making the time to meet with us and we look forward to continuing the dialogue on strengthening the Dutch innovation and investment climate.
