In January 2026, AmCham hosted a Round Table at the Residency of the United States Ambassador, Joseph Popolo, in collaboration with the United States Embassy and Johnson & Johnson. The round table offered a place for multinational AmCham Members to discuss the impact of the Wet Afwikkeling Maaschade in Collective Actie (Settlement of Mass Damages in Collective Action Act). Under the leadership of His Excellency Jan Peter Balkenende representatives discussed how to mitigate risks the law presents to large enterprises, agreeing that in order to strengthen the investment climate in the Netherlands, it is necessary to call upon the Dutch government to amend select clauses.
