On February 7, our AmCham Young Professionals where warm heartedly welcomed at the U.S. Consulate General by Deputy Consul General Rosalyn Wiese for a presentation and discussion on geopolitical developments with Alex Krijger.
We live in an era that has started with the fall of the Berlin Wall and 9/11. In this era, we are confronted with a major geopolitical development that will affect our world for decades to come: the rise of China. Alex Krijger discussed this development during an interesting and interactive presentation. The impact, the risks and opportunities where evaluated and discussed.
Alex Krijger is the Founder of Krijger & Partners, a government relations firm, specialized in scenario-based mitigation plans for businesses on political risks and opportunities. Previously, he worked at Royal Dutch Shell on complicated issues and projects in Europe, MENA, Russia and Asia. He published four books and various articles on political and historical subjects. Alex’s latest book ‘JFK: Idealist zonder illusies’ was published in October 2017. Alex is also the Vice-chair of the Atlantic Commission in The Netherlands. Alex studied at Leiden University and followed various courses at IMD Business School in Lausanne.
