Published: November 19, 2018

November 07, 2018 - Yesterday we welcomed many AmCham members to the InterContinental Amstel Hotel for our annual Going for Gold Dinner. We were honored that Hein Schumacher, CEO at Royal FrieslandCampinaaccepted our invitation to be keynote speaker on the evening.

As main sponsor of the evening Delta Air Lines was represented by Jan Feenstra, Sales Manager Netherlands and North Europe and Corneel Koster, Senior Vice President EMEAI. During a short presentation Corneel shared some highlights of Delta’s future plans. This year we celebrated five years of partnership with them, and yet once again Delta Air Lines raffled two Delta One tickets to any destination on the U.S. Mainland. We congratulate the lucky winner of UP with this amazing price!

After the first course, it was time for Hein Schumacher. Hein shared his insights in how a dairy company keeps course in these challenging times and how it works jointly with its member farmers and other stakeholders towards a new equilibrium to remain successful, for now and generations to come. According to Hein Royal FrieslandCampina is a purpose driven company focused on winning in the global market for dairy based products. The company produces and sells consumer products such as dairy-based beverages, infant nutrition, cheese and desserts in countries around the world. Royal FrieslandCampina is fully owned by one of the largest dairy cooperatives in the world Zuivelcoöperatie FrieslandCampina U.A. with 12,707 member dairy farms in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.

AmCham would like to thank Delta Air Lines, Royal FrieslandCampina and the InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam for their support in making this a successful event.
