Going for Gold Dinner 2019 with Matthew Rider, CFO Aegon

November 07, 2019 - On Tuesday night more than 130 AmCham Members and their guests gathered at the Amstel Hotel for a sold out Going for Gold Dinner. Guest of Honor and Keynote Speaker this year was Matthew Rider, CFO of Aegon. Mr. Rider entertained the audience with an insightful speech with the title 'Confidence!'. In his speech he emphasized the importance of pension planning and succession planning, stressing Aegon's efforts to give people the confidence to retire with dignity. Also Aegon's 175 year long history of helping people to achieve a lifetime of financial security and the key role of public confidence and support were put in context by Mr. Rider.  

After the welcome remarks of AmCham President Jasper van Ouwerkerk the evening was kicked off with the traditional raffle of two Delta One tickets to a destination of choice on mainland USA offered by AmCham's longstanding partner and Patron Member Delta Air Lines. Bob Hannah, Director Continental Sales Europe at Delta Air Lines, shared some highlights of Delta's reinvented international cabin service with a new service design focused on passengers. AmCham congratulates the lucky winner of this amazing prize!
