HR Round Table on Talent Management organized by AmCham Brabant Chapter

Published:

On April 5 some 25 HR executives met in the artistic surroundings of ‘Het Duvelhok’ in Tilburg for a Round Table on Talent Management. The event, which was organized by the Brabant Chapter of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands, started with a thought provoking presentation of Assistant Professor Christina Meyers of the University of Tilburg. The Assistant Professor talked about talent management and critical capabilities. After this presentation the floor was for Mark Bevers, Senior Policy Advisor of the City of Tilburg who gave insight into the versatility of Tilburg as a destination for direct investment. With all this in mind the participants were divided into small groups to deep-dive into the subject and to facilitate peer-to-peer learning. The following four questions where provided by the Brabant Chapter and where subsequently discussed by the participants.

  • Which Critical Capabilities from the introduction of Christina Meyers are important for your organization in order to retain talent?
  • Which cultural differences in the Critical Capabilities do you recognize between Headquarters in the US and the local Dutch organization?
  • How do you attract talent in Brabant? Are there regional differences inside the Netherlands as regards to attracting and retaining talent?
  • Which role do you foresee for yourself to make talent(s) excel, now and in the future?
