On September 30, Members of AmCham The Netherlands and AmCham Belgium gathered online for a lunch webinar with White House Correspondent Jon Decker on the upcoming 2026 U.S. midterm elections.
With the elections just a few weeks away, Jon shared his perspective on the current political landscape and the issues shaping voter concerns, including the economy, inflation and rising costs. He also provided an outlook on key Senate races and what a potential shift in the balance of power in Congress could mean for the Trump administration. Looking beyond the midterms, the webinar touched on the future direction of both political parties and the transatlantic relationship, including tariffs, NATO and U.S.-EU relations. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions following the presentation.
