Now that the coalition formation has reached the interim report and consultation stage, this is the perfect time to emphasize the importance of a strong and attractive business climate.
This week, on behalf of AmCham, we shared our substantive contribution with the informateur and the political parties involved – with the aim of constructively guiding the next phase of the negotiations.
In our response, we emphasize that the "Invitation: Working together for a stronger Netherlands" from D66 and CDA contains valuable starting points for strengthening the Netherlands' earning capacity. We see positive elements such as:
🔹 the emphasis on innovation and technology as drivers of growth;
🔹 the intention to combine the EIA, MIA, and VAMIL into a single, robust investment scheme;
🔹 the commitment to a more attractive climate for knowledge and talent;
🔹 investments in energy security and infrastructure;
🔹 a more stable fiscal and economic playing field for businesses.
At the same time, we share – based on research and the experiences of our Members – concrete recommendations to improve the business climate. We officially presented these recommendations this week.
Our message is clear: a competitive Netherlands requires predictable policies, strong innovation incentives, and an attractive tax framework that facilitates real investments.
We look forward to continuing discussions with the parties forming the coalition government to jointly build a future-proof, innovative, and economically strong Netherlands.

Nu doorpakken: AmCham draagt bij aan een sterker en concurrerend Nederland
Nu de formatie het stadium van tussenrapportage en consultatie heeft bereikt, is dit hét moment om het belang van een sterk en aantrekkelijk vestigingsklimaat te benadrukken.
Deze week hebben wij namens AmCham onze inhoudelijke bijdrage gedeeld met de informateur en betrokken politieke partijen – met als doel om constructief richting te geven aan de volgende fase van de onderhandelingen.
In onze reactie onderstrepen wij dat de ‘Uitnodiging: Samen aan de slag voor een sterker Nederland’ van D66 en CDA waardevolle aanknopingspunten bevat voor het versterken van het verdienvermogen van Nederland. We zien onder meer positieve elementen zoals:
🔹 de nadruk op innovatie en technologie als motor voor groei;
🔹 het voornemen om EIA, MIA en VAMIL te bundelen tot één robuuste investeringsregeling;
🔹 het commitment aan een aantrekkelijker klimaat voor kennis en talent;
🔹 investeringen in energiezekerheid en infrastructuur;
🔹 een stabieler fiscaal en economisch speelveld voor bedrijven.
Tegelijk delen wij – op basis van onderzoek en ervaringen van onze leden – concrete aanbevelingen om het vestigingsklimaat te verbeteren. Die hebben wij deze week officieel overhandigd.
Onze boodschap is helder: een concurrerend Nederland vraagt om voorspelbaar beleid, sterke innovatieprikkels en een aantrekkelijk fiscaal kader dat reële investeringen mogelijk maakt.
Wij blijven graag in gesprek met de formerende partijen om samen te bouwen aan een toekomstbestendig, innovatief en economisch sterk Nederland.
