June 13, 2018 - U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos visited the Netherlands this week, during a European tour to three countries that outperformed the U.S. on the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA): Switzerland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. During her time in the Netherlands, Secretary DeVos was introduced to the Dutch educational system and met with several cultural institutions. She visited among others the National Archives and the Anne Frank House. On Tuesday, June 12, AmCham Executive Director Patrick Mikkelsen attended a dinner with Secretary DeVos and Ingrid van Engelshoven, Minister of Education, Culture and Science, hosted at the Residence of the Mayor of Amsterdam. Secretary DeVos is today continuing her journey to London.
