Women Matter - Roundtable Discussion in collaboration with McKinsey & Company

Published:

On September 22, AmCham’s Diversity Committee organized an event in collaboration with McKinsey & Co to continue the conversation on gender diversity with business leaders within the AmCham network who are determined to encourage female ambition, and effectively implement and communicate proven gender diversity strategies.

The afternoon started with opening remarks of Mr. Frank Leijsdorff (Loyens & Loeff) and Mijntje Lückerath-Rovers (TIAS School for Business and Society) known for the Dutch Female Board Index.
Followed by a presentation of Angelika Reich (McKinsey & Co) on Five Counter-Intuitive Learnings from McKinsey’s latest ‘Women Matter’ research.

After a short break, the panelists Rianne van Veldhuizen (IBM) and Maya Chapman (Loyens & Loeff) shared their successes and challenges with the attendees. AmCham members continued sharing their ideas and experiences over drinks & bites in the Working Cafe of McKinsey & Co.

AmCham would like to thank McKinsey & Co for sharing their research and inviting our members to their Amsterdam headquarters. We are also thankful for the support of AmCham members IBM, Loyens & Loeff and Tias as we look back on a succesful and inspiring afternoon.
