Longstanding partnerships in the Netherlands

2024 is a very special year for United Airlines in the Netherlands, marking the airline’s 25th anniversary of its Amsterdam to New York/Newark service. United has a proud history in the Netherlands stretching back over 30 years, with the airline’s first service operating between Amsterdam and London Heathrow in 1991 and transatlantic service to Washington Dulles starting in 1993. Today, United operates daily services from Amsterdam year-round to its hubs at New York/Newark, Washington Dulles, Chicago O’Hare and Houston, as well as summer seasonal service to San Francisco, with onward connections to hundreds of destinations across the Americas.

Over the past three decades, United has demonstrated its on-going commitment to the Netherlands and the importance of this region within the global United network through a number of long-standing partnerships with key organizations and businesses in the Netherlands. Together with the U.S. Embassy, United has regularly co-hosted customer events and over the past decade has sponsored the bi-annual AmCham Young Professionals Award, a prestigious and exciting team challenge for young professionals working for member companies of AmCham, supporting the next generation of professionals in the Netherlands.

In May 2023, United opened its new Distribution Center in Amsterdam, allowing a speedier and more efficient supply of aircraft parts across Europe.
